Our Goldfish might not come with a special ability – but isn’t the courage to follow your call to adventure already admirable enough? From a sewer to a highway to the local nightclub – there’s plenty of things that will make your journey as challenging as exciting. You’ll have to find your way through all kinds of (human-made) hazards. On their way it’s not only relaxing forest streams and spacious ponds though. Our four fish play quite different from each other in this physics-based adventure which should make it as challenging as fun to reunite them back in the ocean. The team’s diversity and passion for the project made it possible to not only build the colorful game you are about to experience but also allowed us to bring in a broad variety of ideas with challenging puzzles and memorable moments!
Over the course of one year we grew the team up to 34 people across all disciplines, countries and timezones. In June 2020 we assembled a small team of 6 people to kick-off pre-production for what would become “I Am Fish”.

Out of curiosity they applied it to a fish model and asked themselves: Wouldn’t it be fun to navigate through the world this way from a fish’s perspective? Could we build bridges between I Am Bread and Surgeon Simulator and this game to create a wider universe? A prototype and a couple of playtests with our community later we knew that we had something at hand that could be as quirky and fun as lovable!
